• Hoover marks 25 years since 9/11 with stair climb (wvtm13.com) — Hoover police, firefighters, and residents marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a memorial stair climb at Riverchase Galleria, honoring the first responders who died at the World Trade Center. Participants climbed the equivalent of 110 stories, continuing a two-decade local tradition meant to ensure the sacrifices of more than 400 fallen officers and firefighters are never forgotten. 
• Water outage leaves residents of Hoover complex without service for nearly two weeks (wbrc.com) — Residents at Lorna Place Apartments in Hoover have been without running water for nearly two weeks after Central Alabama Water cut service over more than $75,000 in unpaid bills. The utility says it followed procedures and even saw someone illegally turn the water back on, while the city is not yet involved and management has not responded, leaving tenants scrambling for housing and answers.
• HGTV says Hoover, Daphne among the many finest locations to reside in U.S. (fooshya.com) — Hoover just earned national recognition from HGTV as the No. 6 best place to live in the United States, praised for its strong job market and highly rated public schools. With a median household income above $100,000 and home prices around $383,000, the city stands out among 50 top communities, alongside Daphne as the only other Alabama pick.
