• Hoover marks 25 years since 9/11 with stair climb (wvtm13.com) — Hoover police, firefighters, and residents marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a memorial stair climb at Riverchase Galleria, honoring the first responders who died at the World Trade Center. Participants climbed the equivalent of 110 stories, continuing a two-decade local tradition meant to ensure the sacrifices of more than 400 fallen officers and firefighters are never forgotten.

The utility says it followed procedures and even saw someone illegally turn the water back on, while the city is not yet involved and management has not responded, leaving tenants scrambling for housing and answers.
