Leaders say the gift will expand hands-on opportunities in cyber and engineering while helping students see strong career paths right here in Huntsville and across Alabama.

• Rise in Flock cameras spark concern from community advocacy group (whnt.com) — A Huntsville grassroots group called Huntsville 50501 is urging the city to scale back or rethink its growing network of Flock automated license plate reader cameras, calling them a form of mass surveillance. Advocates want tighter rules on who can access data and how long it's stored, even as law enforcement and the Alabama Sheriff's Association defend the cameras as crime-fighting tools.
