• Rising diesel prices squeeze North Alabama food bank, nonprofit partners (waff.com) — Rising diesel prices are straining the Food Bank of North Alabama and its Huntsville partners, forcing them to spend far more on fuel just to reach families in need. With transportation costs soaring, some residents can't get to distribution sites, and volunteers are driving less often. Leaders say they're tightening budgets and relying on community donations to keep food deliveries going.

After briefing the Huntsville Chamber at the Von Braun Center, he highlighted staffing shortages, outdated buildings, and the loss of a local processing center as key problems. Strong backs legislation tying the Postmaster General's pay to performance.
