The event is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. this Friday, Apr. 29; participants will gather in the back of police headquarters before walking to Public Safety Memorial Park. Each year, the unit holds the walk for victims of violent crime and for everyone who stands with those victims. (NBC 15 WPMI)
- A woman has been accused of paying only half her restaurant bill and striking an employee with her vehicle. On Sunday, officers with the Mobile Police Department responded to a call at Bamboo Steakhouse, where 31-year-old Sharda Winston and her children had allegedly left after paying only a portion of the bill. When an employee went outside to film Winston leaving, the suspect reportedly struck him with her vehicle before fleeing the scene. (UTV 44)
