- The Mobile Police Department has been investigating reported sightings of Brian Laundrie, who is wanted in connection with the disappearance of his fiancée, Gabby Petito. A Mobile Police Department spokeswoman has tamped down speculation that the body found by the dumpster at Tillman's Corner is that of Brian Laundrie. (Lagniappe)
- President of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, William B. Sisson, has resigned, effective Oct. 15. He has been the president of the Chamber for 13 years. A nationwide search for his replacement is underway and the Chamber is in discussions to appoint an interim executive director. (NBC 15 WPMI)
- The Black Jacket Symphony will be performing at the Mobile Saenger on Saturday, Feb. 12. (WKRG News 5)
- The Jubilee Festival will be taking place in Daphne's Lott Park on Oct. 16 and 17. (Gulf Coast News Today)
