Here are the top stories today in Mobile:

  1. More than 40 churches across Mobile and Pritchard came together for a vaccine event on Saturday. Partnering with the University of South Alabama Center for Healthy Communities, the event was set up at Amity Missionary Church, ready to give first, second or booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to help families get vaccinated before the holidays. Another vaccine event is set to take place on Dec. 11. (FOX10 News)
  2. Chuck's Fish Mobile is partnering with FIVE Mobile to give out Thanksgiving to-go food boxes on Nov. 25. The Thanksgiving plates are free of charge, and residents can pick them up via drive-thru or walk-up. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FIVE Mobile and will be accepting donations for Wings of Life. (WKRG News 5)
  3. The Mobile Fire Department received a $1.9 million training facility, which includes locker rooms, a testing facility, firefighter gear storage, and an on-site emergency vehicle operator course. (WKRG News 5)
  4. USA Health held their first pediatric COVID-19 vaccine event, where 60 children were vaccinated, and they are set to host another event on Dec. 11 at the Strada Patient Care Center. (FOX10 News)
  5. On Friday, the community celebrated the completion of the Baltimore Street project, which includes nine city blocks from Broad Street to Ann Street. (NBC 15 WPMI)
