  1. On Monday, the federal trial began for accused Mobile cop killer Marco Perez. He is charged with shooting an undercover policeman in January of 2019. The trial could last several weeks. (WKRG News 5)
  2. Flight Works Alabama is hosting its Second Annual Catapult Competition on Saturday, Oct. 30. Teams are to construct a catapult using any materials from home and they will compete to see which team can launch a pumpkin the farthest. Teams must register by Wednesday, Oct. 4. (WKRG News 5)
  3. Mobile Police are investigating a shooting on Weinacker Ave. and have confirmed that a male victim has been taken to the hospital, though his condition is unknown. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  4. Mobile Police reported that an armed robber held up a Waffle House on Government Boulevard early Sunday morning. (FOX10 News)
  5. The Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot is now available for eligible Alabama residents who have already received two doses at least six months ago, including individuals aged 65 and older, long-term care residents, and people ages 50 to 64 with underlying medical conditions. (WKRG News 5)
