- Proposals for memorializing Mobile's unique link to professional baseball history are set to be unveiled this month. The proposed features could become part of the city's "Hall of Fame" courtyard in downtown Mobile. Mayor Sandy Stimpson said the city plans to display 3-foot-tall statues within the next couple of weeks that were completed by artists who recently submitted work that could be included within the courtyard. - An official with the Mobile County Public School System says an arrest has been made in relation to the social media threat against two Semmes schools. The Mobile Public School System worked with the Mobile County Sheriff's to investigate a social media threat made against Mary G. Montgomery High School and Semmes Middle School. (WKRG News 5)
