Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:
- The City of Mobile will be hosting a July 4th Celebration at Mardi Gras Park and Cooper Riverside Park beginning at 4:00 p.m. The event will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, bounce houses, local food, and much more. Don't forget to bring lawn chairs. (WKRG News 5)
- Mobile's Chris Samuels has been listed on the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot. The ballot was formally released on Monday with 80 former players making the cut. Samuels was a unanimous All-American in 1999 for his offensive tackles with the University of Alabama. (WKRG News 5)
- A Mobile man has been sentenced to nine months in prison for defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program - from prison. Demetrius Lashun "Demetric" Richardson, 43-years-old, was given $20,833 by the federal government after he reported a loss of $108,099 for his janitorial services business. He also faces a murder charge in the case of an Ann Street homicide that occurred in April 2021. (Fox 10 News)

- The Mobile Arts Council is hosting "Miniatures & More" by Roxann Dyess and "Urban Vibes," by PleinAirSouth in Room 1927 until June 30. Admission is free and is open from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily. (Mobile.org)
