Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:
- Today's Mobile City Council meeting will see the council discuss and vote on issues that have become very important to Mobile citizens. The council will vote on the Mobile animal shelter assessment and review its policies and procedures. They will also be considering joining Alabama's state opioid settlement. (Lagniappe)
- Over the weekend, a sewer overflow occurred in Mobile. Mobile Area Water and Sewer System responded to and began fixing a break on the sewer mainline on Friday. The overflow was on Meadow Run Court and spilled about 450 gallons of wastewater into Hall Mill Creek. (WKRG News 5)
- After a two-year absence, Navy Week will be returning to Mobile to celebrate Mardi Gras. Sailors will be in town to partake in all of download Mobile's festivities. The Navy will be in town from now until Mar. 1. (NBC 15 WPMI)
