1. Mobile City Council to discuss feasibility study for marina or docking facilities (fox10tv.com) — Mobile's City Council will soon consider funding a feasibility study for a new public marina or docking facilities, along with major improvements to South Broad Street. The proposed projects include rebuilding the roadway, adding sidewalks and bike infrastructure, and upgrading transit fleet graphics, all aimed at improving safety, traffic flow, and appearance for Mobile residents.
   

2. Major League Football practices start in Mobile (wkrg.com) — Professional football is gearing up at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, where Mobile's new Alabama Airborne team has begun padded practices and is preparing for two home games in August. Led by veteran NFL coach Jerry Glanville, the squad is part of the new Major League Football and will host opponents from Ohio and Arkansas, giving local fans fresh gridiron action close to home.
   

3. Fashion model from Mobile identified in National Gallery of Art photo (fox10tv.com) — A Mobile native, fashion model Manasie Ree Horn, has finally been identified as the subject of a celebrated Black Arts Movement photograph now in the National Gallery of Art. Her son recognized her image during a traveling exhibit and worked with museums to add her name, bringing long-overdue national recognition to a woman who grew up in Mobile's Roger Williams Homes before pursuing modeling in New York.
   

4. Baldwin County Opens Applications for Homeownership Assistance Program (fox10tv.com) — Baldwin County is opening applications next month for a Homeownership Assistance Program to help residents affected by Hurricanes Sally and Zeta with down payments, closing costs, and counseling. With public meetings planned in Foley and Fairhope, the program aims to keep Gulf Coast families stably housed or help them return, offering significant support just across the bay from Mobile.
