• AASHTO Journal - Alabama Finalizes Mobile Bridge and Bayway Financing (transportation.org) — Financing is now finalized for the $3.2 billion Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project, clearing the way for full construction to start in October. The project will add a new six-lane bridge, expand I-10 capacity in Mobile and Baldwin counties, and eventually route hazardous freight off local streets while improving access to the Port of Mobile.
   

• Lane closures set to begin Sunday at busy Mobile intersection (fox10tv.com) — Expect lane closures today at Old Shell Road and Florida Street in Mobile as city crews repair a damaged storm drain inlet, rerouting westbound and northbound traffic with flaggers' help. Work runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, with concrete pouring scheduled Monday morning, so plan extra time if you drive through this busy intersection.
   

• The Red Clay Strays To Headline Opening Of New Arena In Hometown (rttnews.com) — A new 10,000-seat Regions Arena in Mobile will open March 26, 2027, with hometown band The Red Clay Strays headlining and St. Paul & The Broken Bones supporting. Tickets are already on sale, giving Mobile music fans plenty of time to plan for the venue's first big show.
