🌱 Wastewater Overflows Caused By Heavy Rains + 4 New WAVE Busses

First, today's weather:
Heavy rain and a thunderstorm. High: 80 Low: 65.
Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:
- Heavy rains have caused the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System to experience multiple wastewater overflows. The department will provide a full list of overflows once they are stopped, according to the Mobile County Health Department. Anyone who has made contact with wastewater is advised to wash their hands and clothing thoroughly. (Fox 10 News)
- Mobile Fire-Rescue responded to a Wednesday morning house fire on the West side of town. The fire occurred at 4309 Packingham Drive. Crews responded after reports were made about smoke rising from the house. There is currently no indication as to how the fire was started. (WKRG News 5)
- The City of Mobile has received four new WAVE Transit busses. The new busses are expected to be in service by July 4. The city hopes to modernize the WAVE Transit bus fleet using a $4.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The city will also be expanding its fleet over the next couple of years. (WKRG News 5)
