• Governor proclaims October as Beef Month (enewscourier.com) — October is officially Beef Month in Alabama, and Talladega residents will see some of the celebration up close through promotions at Talladega Superspeedway and other major events. The Alabama Cattlemen's Association is using school visits, steak sandwich sales, and fair activities to spotlight local cattle producers and encourage families to choose beef in their fall meal plans.
