1 Dead, 1 Injured In Shooting On Pinson Valley Parkway
A shooting Sunday night at a Birmingham gas station left one victim dead and another hospitalized.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting Sunday night at a Shell station on Pinson Valley Parkway left one victim dead and another hospitalized. The incident occurred just after 5 p.m.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said an altercation at the store resulted in shots being fired, and officers arrived to find a gunshot victim in a wooded area behind the gas station, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was found in the parking lot and was taken to UAB Hospital.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified the victim as 48-year-old Troy Allen Underhill of Birmingham.

Authorities said Wednesday that the investigation showed the shooting was justifiable and no charges will be filed in the case.
