2 Center Point Shootings Under Investigation
Separate shootings in Center Point last week are i=under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — Two separate shootings last week in Center Point, One Dec, 23 and another Dec. 24, are under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The Dec. 23 shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. at the Charter East Apartments, according to Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Money said witnesses reported that the shooting occurred after a fight in the parking lot of the apartment complex on 15th Terrace NE .
Money said the injured man is expected to recover from his injuries.

The Christmas Eve shooting occurred in the 300 Block of Tammy Sue Drive in Center Point. Money said a 30-year-old man was inside a vehicle with two other males when one of the males started shooting inside the vehicle, striking the 30-year-old man in the leg.
The victim is being treated for injuries at UAB Hospital.
