Birmingham Man Taken Into Custody After Police Chase

A 20-year-old Birmingham man was taken into custody after leading police on a chase in St. Clair County.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, AL — A 20-year-old Birmingham man has been taken into custody by Margaret police after a police chase and crash Saturday. A Trussville Tribune report said Dekahlo Wilson was arrested and faces multiple charges.

The chase began after an attempted traffic stop, during which Wilson tried to elude police. Wilson’s vehicle crashed in the 5700 block of Mary Munger Road, according to the Trussville Tribune.

Wilson has been charged with criminal mischief second degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, distribution of marijuana, receiving stolen property fourth degree, attempting to elude, drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon and obscuring the identity of a vehicle.
