Center Point Shooting: One Victim Dead Outside Barber Shop

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal shooting outside a barber shop in Center Point Tuesday. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on on 20th Court N.W. just off Center Point Parkway.

A statement from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report of shots fired, and found a man dead at the scene. According to witness reports, McNeily got into an argument with another subject at this location, and the argument then escalated into a physical altercation.

At that time, a third person exited the Barbershop and fired several shots at McNeely, hitting and killing him, investigators said. The shooter reportedly fled the scene in a dark colored Toyota Camry.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Delquan McNeily.
