Deadly Shooting In Jefferson County Under Investigation

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A deadly shooting in Jefferson County Thursday is under investigation, as the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has one person in custody for questioning.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the 6300 block of North Clubview Circle in the Letson Farms community.

Money said the man who reported the shooting remained on the scene when deputies arrived to find a victim dead. The man who reported the shooting is in custody for questioning.
