Grayson Valley Homicide Suspects Indicted

Two men have been indicted on capital murder charges in the Aug. 22 shooting death of Michael James Moore.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two men have been indicted in the Aug. 22 shooting death of 35-year-old Michael James Moore in Grayson Valley. Kendall Bernard Banks, 25, and Zackary Danner, 23, are charged with capital murder and attempted murder.

The incident occurred 5400 block of Nottinghill Drive, and Jefferson County Deputy Chief David Agee said deputies found Michael James Moore unresponsive on the scene and his wife, Crystal Moore, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a nearby hospital where Michael James Moore was pronounced dead. Crystal Moore survived the shooting.

Agee said evidence showed that some type of domestic dispute occurred and turned into a robbery, and the husband and wife were shot.

Banks was arrested shortly after the incident, and Danner turned himself in two days later.
