Jefferson County Man Charged With Rape, Sexual Abuse Of Child
A Jefferson County man was arrested Saturday and charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual abuse of a child.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A Jefferson County man was arrested Saturday and charged with rape and sexual abuse of a minor. Bobby Joe Glass, Jr., 47, was taken into custody by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and charged wit two counts of rape and three counts of sex abuse of a child.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrived at a residence in the 1400 Block of Little River Trail in Jefferson County, in an attempt to execute arrest warrants on Glass, and he fled when he saw the deputies.
Money said deputies followed Glass until his vehicle slid off of the roadway on Highway 269, where Glass began to flee on foot. Deputies were able to catch up to Glass and take him into custody.

Glass also received new charges of attempting to elude, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. His bonds total $111,000.
