Jefferson County Man Charged In Wife's Murder
A man has been charged in the beating death of his wife in Pinson.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - An investigation into the beating death of 48-year-old Robin Rae Caudill. of Pinson has resulted in murder charges against Caudill's husband, 42-year-old Arthur Leon McKinney.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, just after 5 am Sunday morning, McKinney called the Sheriff’s Office to report that he had discovered Caudill unresponsive on the bathroom floor of the residence.
Deputies arrived to find the victim dead on the floor.

McKinney remained on scene and was found to have blood on his clothing. He was questioned by detectives but offered no explanation for the injuries to the victim or the blood found throughout the home.
Evidence at the scene indicated that the victim had been beaten to death.

McKinney was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail to await formal charges. On July 24, Sheriff’s detectives obtained an arrest warrant formally charging McKinney with the murder of his wife. He remains in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $1,000,000.
