Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: One Dead After Traffic Accident On Pinson Valley Parkway

On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at approximately 4:40 PM, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 4400 Block of Pinson Valley Parkway to investigate a motor vehicle accident involving 2 vehicles.  Once on the scene, deputies found a maintenance truck had run into the back end of an 18-wheeler, flat bed trailer.  Both were traveling in the Southbound lanes of the parkway.

The 59 year old male driver of the maintenance vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene.  The driver of the 18 wheeler was uninjured.  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office START Team is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this accident..
