Man Charged With DUI After Jefferson County Traffic Fatality
A fatal crash resulted in the arrest of a man who also had outstanding warrants in Michigan.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man has been charged with DUI after a fatal car wreck in Jefferson County Monday night. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Carson Road.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said deputies found that a 2015 Chrysler 200C had crossed the center line and hit a 2006 Hyundai Elantra. The driver of the Elantra was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Chrysler 200C, 38 year-old, Dwayne Anthony Johnson, was arrested for DUI and outstanding warrants out of Michigan.
