Man Indicted On Sex Charges Involving Child

SHELBY COUNTY, AL — A 30-year-old Leeds man was indicted last week on 10 felony sex charges involving a child. Brandon Scott Harris was indicted in a Shelby County court, charged with charged first-degree sodomy, five counts of second-degree sodomy and one count each of second-degree rape, electronic solicitation of a child, sex abuse of a child and transmission of obscene material to a child, according to an Alabama Media Group report.

The crimes occurred between July and December of 2017, according to al.com. The victim was a teen who was over the age of 12 but under the age of 16.
