JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — An Odenville man has been indicted in the February shooting death of a co-worker. A Jefferson County grand jury on Friday indicted 33-year-old Walter Edward Juskiewicz on charges of capital murder and attempted murder.
The shooting occurred Feb 25 at approximately 8 p.m. Sheriff's deputies, along with officers from the Trussville Police Department, responded to a shooting on Service Road. Deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound laying on the floor of a business. That victim, 39-year-old Arnulfo Ortega, died two days later.
David Agee with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Ortega was going to buy a car from Juskiewicz, a co-worker. Juskiewicz reportedly showed up and began shooting at the victims. Ortega was struck but the other victim was able to escape.
