1 Dead After Wreck On Carson Road In Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A two-vehicle wreck on Carson Road in Jefferson County Thursday claimed the life of one motorist and left another hospitalized with serious injuries.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Carson Road near Pine Hill Road. Fultondale police and Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies worked the scene of the accident.

According to Money, a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was reported to be driving erratically in the area earlier. Moments later, a vehicle matching the description of the Tahoe collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey. The driver of the Odyssey was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver of the Tahoe suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
