Pinson Shooting Leaves Female Passenger Injured

A 22-year-old female passenger in a vehicle in Pinson was injured by gunfire Tuesday afternoon.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A shooting in Pinson Tuesday left a 22-year-old woman injured and hospitalized. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. in the 4000 Block of St. John Drive.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the victim and three other people were driving away from the victim’s home when they heard several shots.

The victim realized she had been grazed across the head by one of the bullets, Money said. She was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
