Shooting Victim In Center Point Identified
A 56-year-old man has been identified as the victim shot and killed over the weekend in Center Point.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — One of five homicide victims in Jefferson County over the weekend — this one a shooting victim in Center Point — has been identified. The Jefferson County Coroner's office said 56-year-old Kenny Unsells Hambright was shot and killed in his apartment complex Saturday night.
The shooting occurred just after 11 p.m. in the Shadowood Circle apartment complex in Center Point, according to a report from the sheriff's office.
Hambright was taken to a local hospital after being discovered wounded at the scene and later died.

Hambright is one of five victims who died from shootings in the county over the weekend.

A suspect is in custody in the killing of TJ Moore, but law enforcement does not have suspects in any of the other homicides at this time.
