Skeletal Remains Found In Sylvan Springs
A man walking behind his mother's home in Sylvan Springs discovered what appeared to be human remains.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A Thanksgiving Day discovery in Sylvan Springs has Jefferson County Sheriff's investigators trying to identify skeletal remains.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said a man was walking behind his mother's home in the Sylvan Springs area, and found a metal structure in a wooded area. Inside the structure was what appeared to be human remains.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office retrieved the remains and will conduct an autopsy to attempt to confirm the cause of death and identity of the deceased.
