St. Clair County Pharmacy Robbery Suspect Caught In Birmingham

A suspect in the robbery of an Odenville drug store was apprehended in Birmingham this week.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A suspect in the robbery of an Odenville drug store was arrested Monday by Birmingham police. Xavier Story, 26, is charged with first-degree robbery stemming from an incident that occurred Oct. 2.

According to an Alabama Media Group report, the robbery happened at 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Odenville Drugs on Council Drive. Sheriff Billy Murray told al.com the suspect entered the store and presented a note demanding narcotics.

Odenville police, The St. Clair County Sheriff's office, Jefferson County Sheriff's office, ATF, Jefferson State Community College police and Birmingham police all worked on the investigation and were able to identify Story as the suspect.

Story was taken into custody Monday by Birmingham police. He is being held in in the Birmingham City Jail on multiple charges out of Birmingham, including trafficking hydrocodone, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and certain persons forbidden to carry a firearm.

In St. Clair County, Story is charged with first-degree robbery. His bond in that case is set at $500,000.
