Suspect Arrested In Trussville Area Shooting
The gunshot victim in a Trussville area shooting Monday night died Wednesday, and a suspect is in custody.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect and charged him with capital murder and attempted murder after a shooting February 25 in an unincorporated area of Trussville. Deputies arrested 32-year-old Walter Edward Juskiewicz Wednesday.
Monday evening at approximately 8 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies, along with officers from the Trussville Police Department, responded to a shooting on Service Road. Deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound laying on the floor of a business. That victim died Wednesday morning. He is identified as 39-year-old Arnulfo Ortega.
David Agee with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Ortega was going to buy a car from Juskiewicz, a co-worker, Monday night. Juskiewicz reportedly showed up and began shooting at the victims. Ortega was struck but the other victim was able to escape.

Detectives were able to locate and interview the second victim, and after reviewing the evidence with the District Attorney’s Office Juskiewicz was arrested and charged with capital murder in the death of Ortega, and attempted murder on the second victim. There is no bond on the capital murder charge and a $50,000 bond on the attempted murder charge.
