Suspect Who Shot At Sheriff's Deputies Sought By Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — The Jefferson County Sheriff's office reported that they are seeking a suspect who reportedly shot at deputies at an apartment complex in eastern Birmingham Sunday.

Deputy Chief David Agee of the JCSO said at about 2:45 p.m. a person shot at deputies at Valley Brook apartments on Gallant Drive. Deputies were reportedly investigating a theft and had several suspects detained in two vehicles.

"Someone fired shots from a distance that struck one of the Sheriff’s vehicles," Agee said. "Neither the suspects or deputies were injured."
