Trussville Man Arrested As Deputies Respond To Apartment Fire
A 31-year-old Trussville man was arrested following a fire at an apartment complex on 20th Avenue NE.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A Trussville man was arrested Thursday as deputies responded to a fire at an apartment complex in Center Point, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Jarvis Milton, 31, was arrested on charges of violating a domestic abuse protection order, but could face additional charges as well, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputy Chief David Agee said the fire started in a parking area under an apartment building in the 300 block of 20th Ave. NE in Center Point around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. An apartment resident told authorities about a possible suspect, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office said they identified and located Milton whose clothes smelled like gasoline.
Milton was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 4:31 a.m. and is being held on $6,000 bond.
