Woman Dies Trying To Save Animals From Grayson Valley House Fire

A woman died after trying to save animals from her burning home Friday night in Grayson Valley.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A woman died Monday from injuries sustained while trying to save animals from a fire at her Grayson Valley home. An ABC 33/40 report said Kimberly JoAnn Jourdan, 42, was rescuing her pets during a Dec. 6 fire on Pentland Drive.

Jourdan was taken to UAB Hospital after Center Point Fire Department arrived on the scene Friday night.

The report did not say whether or not the animals were successfully rescued from the burning home.
