Woman Found Dead In Car On I-22 Victim Of Homicide: Police
A woman found dead in her car on I-22 has been identified, and police are investigating the case as a homicide.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A woman found dead in her car on Interstate 22 last week has been ruled a victim of a homicide. The Hispanic woman, identified as 39-year-old Ernamy Padilla, was discovered May 12 by Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies.
Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway near exit 89 on I-22 around 2:30 p.m. May 12, and found Padilla unresponsive.
A report by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said detectives have found enough evidence to obtain warrants against Jose Afrain Dubon Rodriguez for the charge of murder. There is a no bond on this charge.

David Agee of the JCSO said Rodriguez may have fled the area but investigators are continuing to track his whereabouts to take him into custody.
