Alabama Football's Hubbard, Proctor Named CSC Academic All-Americans

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama football players Bray Hubbard and Kadyn Proctor have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Team.

Proctor earned first-team honors, while Hubbard was selected to the second team.

The selections bring Alabama’s total to 33 CSC Academic All-Americans since the award’s inception and mark the 10th season in which the Crimson Tide has produced at least two honorees.

Hubbard, a safety, posted a 3.91 grade-point average at the conclusion of the fall semester and completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management in December.

On the football field, Hubbard started all 15 games for Alabama and emerged as a key presence in the secondary.

He recorded 79 tackles, including 4.5 for loss, along with a team-high four interceptions, six pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two sacks and one quarterback hurry.

Hubbard also earned All-SEC First Team honors from league coaches and was named a second-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, along with third-team recognition from the Associated Press.

Proctor, an offensive lineman, earned a perfect 4.00 GPA during the fall semester and also completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management in December. He started all 15 games at left tackle, anchoring Alabama’s offensive line throughout the season.

Proctor garnered consensus All-American status, receiving first-team honors from the AFCA, Football Writers Association of America and Walter Camp Foundation, in addition to second-team recognition from the Associated Press and The Sporting News.

Proctor was also named co-recipient of the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, awarded annually to the Southeastern Conference’s top offensive lineman.

Pro Football Focus reported that Proctor posted an 85.6 overall grade, the second-highest among SEC offensive tackles, and allowed just two sacks in 610 pass-blocking snaps.

He also contributed as a ball carrier, recording 16 rushing yards and three first downs on five carries.
