'All Clear' Given After Threat Called In To Walker County Hospital

Emergency officials have given the all-clear after a threat was called in to Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper on Tuesday.

JASPER, AL — Emergency officials have given the "all clear" after a threat was called in to Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper on Tuesday.

Jasper Police and the city's fire department responded to the call from the hospital just before noon on Tuesday after the initial report was received.

In an update Tuesday evening, the Jasper Police Department said a 14-year-old student at a Walker County school was identified as the suspect behind the call after similar threats were made to a fast food restaurant in Sumiton and Cullman Regional Medical Center.

The juvenile suspect is currently in a detention center awaiting charges.
