Arrest Made, Second Suspect Sought In Fatal Tuscaloosa Shooting
An arrest has been made and another suspect at large after a woman was shot and killed Friday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — An arrest has been made in a Friday afternoon shooting in Tuscaloosa’s West End that left a 19-year-old woman dead.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said Saturday that two individuals were responsible for the actions that led to Shania Robinson’s death at Hay Court apartments Friday afternoon.

Captain Marty Sellers told local media that warrants were obtained on the two men suspected.
Tuscaloosa resident Deramus Harris Jr., 18, was arrested Saturday afternoon for Murder and Robbery 2. Harris was also out on bond for a murder and attempted murder arrest in a case from last February.

Sellers said court paperwork was filed and Harris’ bond has now been revoked in those cases.
Patch previously reported that Robinson was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head.
Sellers pointed out that witnesses gave information that led to the identification of several subjects who were possibly involved.
The total bond for the two arrests is set at $180,000.
The other wanted man is currently being sought by police and has not been publicly identified.
