- A small, but powerful thunderstorm sat stationary over much of south Tuscaloosa Saturday evening, causing more flooding in the vicinity of the University of Alabama and south of the Black Warrior River. (More on Patch)
- Gov. Kay Ivey on Friday announced $16.5 million in bonds issued for the construction of the Smart Communities and Innovation Building on The University of Alabama campus. (More on Patch)
- A Greensboro woman died from her injuries following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Hale County. The crash occurred on state Highway 69, approximately six miles south of Moundville. (More on Patch)
