Hale County Hiring Event To Feature More Than A Dozen Employers

GREENSBORO, AL — West AlabamaWorks and the City of Greensboro are partnering for a Hale County hiring event on Thursday, June 9 from 2 p.m. until to 6 p.m. at the National Guard Armory at 515 Greene Street.

West AlabamaWorks says the goal of the hiring event is to reach individuals who are not working or those looking for a new career path or trade to become financially stable and career oriented.

“As we continue our Regional Workforce Hiring Event Tours, we want to connect local business and industry with qualified candidates to fill multiple positions,” said Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama COO and West AlabamaWorks Executive Director Donny Jones. “Events like these make it possible to showcase regional employers in a way that will encourage job-seeking community members to take advantage of the career opportunities available in Alabama's Black Belt region."

West AlabamaWorks encourages job candidates to dress in a business-casual style and treat the event like a job interview. Attendees are also asked to bring copies of their resume, although it will not be required to attend.
