Emma Kennedy, member of Scout BSA Troop 316, addressed the Tuscaloosa County Commission on Wednesday as she works to earn the distinguished title of Eagle Scout. Part of the requirements call for the scout to attend a public meeting and Emma was joined by her father, Captain Jack Kennedy, who is the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit and is closely involved with Scouts.

Former University of Alabama head baseball coach Jim Wells will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as part of its Class of 2024 Class.
