Interim Tag Dropped For Two City Of Tuscaloosa Department Heads
Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox announced two major appointments of city department heads on Tuesday

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox on Tuesday announced the appointment of Jarrod Milligan as the city's new executive director of Infrastructure and Public Services, in addition to naming Carly Standridge as the city's chief finance officer.

The appointments will be effective Sept. 11.

Milligan has been an employee of the City of Tuscaloosa since 2007, serving in a range of positions that have included wastewater engineer, linear assets manager, associate director of Water and director of logistics and asset management for the Department of Infrastructure and Public Services.
As the Deputy Executive Director of IPS since 2018, he has been involved in the management of all Infrastructure and Public Services Department services and will take the place of Tera Tubbs, who left the position in May after she was hired as city engineer for the City of Northport.

Standridge has worked for the City of Tuscaloosa since 2011, in capacities that included accounting manager in Disaster Recovery, financial manager in the Office of Federal Programs, and as internal auditor.
She was appointed City Clerk in 2019 and mostly recently to the role of acting chief financial officer in August, following the departure of Susan Snowden.
"I have full confidence in Jarrod and Carly to help lead the City of Tuscaloosa to a bright future," Maddox said in an official statement. "They have both been invaluable team members for the duration of their service with the City, and have demonstrated excellent leadership skills during their time as Interim Director of IPS and Interim CFO, respectively."
