Oats offered condolences to the family of Birmingham native Jamea Jonae Harris, 23, and said he had met with the team immediately after he received the news Sunday. He also said the entire team planned to practice today, before making the trip to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt on Tuesday.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the area of Grace Street sometime around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

"A young woman, daughter and mother was taken away too soon from a senseless act," he said. "This is an incredibly sad situation. Our hearts go out to her loved ones."

Miles released a statement late Sunday night through his defense attorneys, insisting on his innocence, while also offering condolences to the victim's family.
