TUSCALOOSA, AL — Despite poor free throw shooting and a hostile crowd inside Neville Arena, No. 3 Alabama men's basketball (22-3, 12-0 SEC) pulled out a hard-fought victory over the Auburn Tigers (17-8, 7-5 SEC) on Saturday, 77-69.

Tide guard Mark Sears was a force in scoring and on the boards for Alabama, sinking 15 points from the field, while grabbing 6 rebounds.

Rylan Griffen also came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 16 points in the winning effort.
Other players that finished in double figures were Brandon Miller (13) and Jaden Bradley (12).

One of the more frustrating points of the game for the Alabama squad and fans alike came at the free throw line, where the team finished the game 13-for-23. This is compared to the Tigers going 22-for-26 from the charity stripe.
The Crimson Tide will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 15, for a road match in Knoxville against the Tennessee Volunteers.
