Nominations Open For Inaugural Tuscaloosa Civil Rights Trail Foundation Awards
The Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History and Reconciliation Foundation announced that it has opened nominations for its inaugural awards

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History and Reconciliation Foundation this week announced that it has opened nominations for its inaugural leadership and service awards.

The nonprofit says the awards will honor the legacy of community members that serve Tuscaloosa, blaze a trail, and are persistent in achieving their goals of making a difference on a personal and professional level.

The four separate awards are:
- Rev. Thomas Linton Perseverance Award
- Rev. T. Y. Rogers Jr. Trail Blazer Award
- Mr. Bill Buchanan Service Award
- Dr. Myrtle E. Gray Outstanding Youth Award
The awards ceremony will be held on May 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tuscaloosa River Market.

The deadline for nominations is set for Feb. 15.
