Herndon is currently accepting donations at his surveying firm's office, located at 2728 Lurleen Wallace Boulevard in Northport. Donations will be collected until 4:30 p.m. Monday and then from 4:45 a.m. Tuesday until the donations are packed.
He also said his trailer for donations will be open, even if he is not there to collect them.
"If you work at a medical office and would like to make donations of medical supplies it would greatly help," Herndon said. "If you work at a hardware store and could make donations or a grocery store and could make donations or a place that can donate water or sports drinks I will sing all of your praises."
