Northport's First Firehouse Subs Opens Monday
The new eatery is located at 3300 McFarland Boulevard in Northport and opened at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning.

NORTHPORT — Firehouse Subs announced the grand opening of its first Northport restaurant on Monday at 3300 McFarland Boulevard.

The new represents the first location in Alabama to feature the brand's new Community Design layout. As Patch previously reported, the new location hopes to bring 45 new jobs to Northport.

The new concept includes an updated design and a repositioned ordering area, in addition to designated space for Rapid Rescue To Go orders made online or through the Firehouse Subs app.
The Community Design first debuted in July 2019 in the company's hometown market of Jacksonville, Florida.

The new restaurant, which shares the North Square Plaza outlet with Papa Murphy's Pizza and the soon-to-open Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery, is owned by local franchisees Jim Cain and Bradley Cain.
The Northport location represents the fourth Firehouse Subs restaurant for the father and son business partners who own and operate three other locations in the Birmingham area.
A portion of every purchase at the new Firehouse Subs will go to benefit its Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has donated more than $1.4 million to first responders in the Birmingham area.
The North Square Firehouse Subs restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. seven days a week and offers subs to-go through online ordering, call-in phone orders, third-party delivery or takeout service at the counter inside.
