One Dead After Wednesday Morning Crash In Tuscaloosa
The Tuscaloosa Police Department says one person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of 29th Street Wednesday morning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says one person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of 29th Street Wednesday morning.

TPD said in a press release Wednesday afternoon that officers were called to the wreck site near Herman Avenue in west Tuscaloosa at 2:59 a.m.

Investigators believe the driver was traveling west on 29th Street when he lost control of the car, which then struck a curb and crossed the center line of the road before striking a tree along the wood line.
The driver of lone vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified at this time, as TPD works to notify next of kin.
