Kennedy identified the two adults arrested as:

  • Aamod Tre’Shon Jones, 19. He is charged with three counts of attempted murder, which saw his bond set at $180,000, while the bond for the assault charge was set at $100,000.
  • Tyriek O’Shay Evans, 18. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder, which saw his bond set at $120,000, while the bond for the assault charge was set at $100,000.

As Patch previously reported on Monday, officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded at 4:15 p.m. to a shooting call at the apartments, which are located at 415 Hargrove Road East.

"Multiple witnesses reported a shooting haven taken place between subjects in and around the pool area," Kennedy said. " A 3 year child that was swimming in the pool, and was not associated with any of the shooting suspects, was struck, and later airlifted to Children’s Hospital. The child is expected to survive."

Kennedy explained that some of the suspects fled on foot and some in vehicles. However, the responding TPD units were able to locate a reported suspect vehicle, and stop it, which prompted several occupants to attempt to flee on foot.

"TPD was able to take several suspects into custody from the stop and from searching the area," Kennedy said, before mentioning that none of the suspects arrested are residents of the apartments where the shooting occurred. "Several other suspects and persons of interest are still being sought."

Those who have any information as to this shooting are asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690.
